These plants are easy to grow and it can withstand irregular watering, poor lighting, and uneven temperatures. Indoor Plants can be kept in a corner of your house with low light,office, kitchen etc…
1)Pothos(Money Plant)
Pothos is considered to be a best option for beginners to start with indoor gardening. Its grown both indoor as well as outdoor. Pothos leaves are very bright and waxy with pointed heart shaped. Leaves vary in colors often light green, dark green or variegated in white, yellow, or pale green. It is very rare for them to flower or produce berries, especially indoors, but i have heard from my grandmother that some variants of pothos can have tiny, white flowers which dont have petals and looks like small berries.
Caring for pothos is very easy. These plants enjoy a wide range of environments. They go well with indirect sunlight, grow in dry soil, wet soil or just in a bottle of water.
2) Snake Plant or Mother-in-Law’s Tongue)
There are almost 70 species of Sansevieria (Snake Plant) known till date. These beautiful , air purifying plants are native to Africa, Madagascar, and southern Asia. These are know to purify air from toxins and thus very suitable for indoor especially in Bedrooms.
Snake Plants foliage is stiff, wide, and upright, in a dark green color variegated with white and yellow striping. They are famous for their ability to survive in the most unsuitable growing conditions. Caring for Sansevieria are very easy. While they can withstand full sun, they love to be in low indirect sunlight and less water. It can rot if watered daily. Always make sure the soil is completely dry before you water them. As they originate from arid deserts, these plants do well in sandier soils.
3) Spider Plant
Spider plant also known as St.Bernard’s Lily, Spider ivy, or the Ribbon Plant is a perennial flowering plant which is a native of Southern and tropical Africa. Variegated forms of spider plant are famous indoor plants which are easy to grow and care. Its spider like leaves dangle down from its mother plant and this looks very much like spiders on a web.
Caring for these plants are super easy as they are very tolerant. They will flourish well in bright indirect sunlight and well drained soil. Water them well but make sure the soil is not soggy because as a result of this roots starts to rot. They mostly prefer to dry out between every watering.
4) Lucky Bamboo
Lucky Bamboo(Dracaena Sanderiana)are grown in houses since long. These are native of Southeast Asia . According to Feng Shui for over 5000 years, lucky bamboo is considered to be a symbol of luck and prosperity which makes it a common gift and a perfect indoor plant. This beautiful Bamboo are easy to care for. Most importantly these can grown both in water as well as soil they last long when planted in soil.
It’s told to enhance the chi or energy of their surroundings where they are kept.
