Bathrooms deserve to be decorated with lush greenery just like every other room in the house – but it can be tricky to find a plant that thrives here. Indoor Plants have taken over, and the trend has officially extended to every room of the house—then why to exclude the bathroom?
While most people prefer to use artificial plants(even I have used :P), live bathroom plants will not only absorb moisture, but they also have several other benefits including uplifting the decor, purifying the air, as well as improving your mental health and energy.
Ok. So, what kind of plants does survive in the bathroom??
SNAKE PLANT
Snake plant is one of the hardiest houseplants as it does not require bright sunlight, frequent watering, it has fatty leaves like succulents which store water.

We can even hang it up high and let the leaves droop down and the sunlight filter through its greenery.

ORCHIDS

Money plant is a popular houseplant found every here and there. It’s a fast grower, hardy, and can tolerate a wide variety of growing conditions. The vines can reach 10′ or longer, making them ideal for hanging baskets where they will create beautiful draping foliage.
Moreover, it can withstand low light levels and irregular watering schedule.

ZZ PLANT
When I speak about bathroom plants, how can I forget ZZ Plant? These are my favorite. They grow crazily in a humid atmosphere.
ZZ plant is almost indestructible and can put up with any sort of growing conditions ranging from low light, high humidity, low water levels as well as a rapid temperature switch.
This plant needs to be watered only four times a year, I have barely watered my ZZ one time in the past 5 months and they are growing amazingly. Its elegant oval leaves will grace your bathroom for many years.

BOSTON FERN
Boston ferns are natives of humid forests and swamps. It is effective in removing formaldehyde, xylene, toluene, and airborne germs, molds, bacteria from the indoor air. It is low maintenance, easy-care houseplants, it does not require bright light, even it does well in extremely poor light indoor conditions.
Boston Fern is an indoor plant that likes moist growing conditions with indirect sunlight. This plant is able to absorb excess moisture from your bathroom without much of a struggle, a characteristic that enables it to balance out the humidity levels leaving your bathroom more comfortable.

SPIDER PLANT
The spider plant is an amazing plant that you can grow indoors especially in your bathrooms. Its smooth arching leaves improves the appearance of your bathroom. The most amazing fact about spider plant is that it can remove up to at least 90% of pollutants and moisture in the air.
The spider plant is capable of thriving under a variety of conditions and doesn’t require much care at all. Keep this plant by the window in the sun, and watch it grow with the help of occasional watering and infrequent pruning.
